OCD in Hypermode
I found myself with a bit of time alone yesterday morning and decided to take a few pictures. We've been going to this church for years. I pass it every day. The church, not large by any means, is located in just such a way that it can be seen for quite some distance in many directions.
And it drives me nuts!
Any guesses as to why?

It appears that the cross is a bit askew.
It's a very beautiful structure, other than that. I think I would be driven to covertly, in the wee hours of the morning, shimmy up that puppy and straighten it!
The only thing stopping me from doing that very thing is my paralyzing fear of heights.
Yeah, that crooked cross hit a nerve in me too.
One has to wonder. To my knowledge, I'm the only one it seems to bother.
I did not notice it was crooked until I read the comments but now it's irking me too. It's the type A in all of us!
And now you'll see it every time you pass by.
Ha! I didn't notice it at first either... but yeah, I can see how that would be irritating once you realize it. I wonder HOW it got that way?
I'd like to think just high winds or a bad storm and not some supernatural force wherein it is showing it's displeasure with the current state of religion in America.
