At Least it Didn't Say--Send Help!
It's been one of those mornings. Screaming, crying, fighting, name calling, whining, hurt feelings. All of this and more.....
before breakfast!!
The kids were banished to their rooms while I attempted to regain control of my emotions and fold some laundry. After about ten minutes, I look into the hall and see a small note, hand scrawled on a piece of tissue paper that had been slid under their bedroom door.

It's not quite lunchtime yet and....
the kitchen has been cleaned
the laundry has been folded and put away
and the van.....
Well, let's just say that there were a few things they were able do to redeem themselves.

Oh my god that is so hilarious! I love the note!
Those crafty kids of mine! It got them out of the room.
My four would have written the note in Sharpie, leaving me wondering what else they would have written on. Oh yeah and how did they get the toilet paper and how much and...
Oh, we've been down the sharpie path many times. Thank God for Magic Eraser!
That is just beautiful.
Must be framed and kept forever, surely?
I had never thought of framing it. It's definitely scrap book material. Not saying I scrap book but if I did....
I would keep that note forever! So sweet.
I gotta tell you, I was furious when I sent them in there. The note melted me. All I could do was laugh.
AWESOME! Love the specialized license plate too.
That was photo edited. I really didn't think anyone would notice.
Nice! And I always knew there was a reason to have kids - my car needs a wash too! :0
Send it over. They work for popcicles.
Ha! Though my kids would not find that a very painful punishment....and I would likely get sprayed with the hose
Are you kidding me? They loved it!
Sometimes incredibly bad behavior coupled with guilt can result in a win for dad. Well done my friend.
Thanks, man. They really didn't feel too punished though.
Great post. And great "punishment" too! I always make my kids wash my car too whenever they seem like they're in need of something to keep them busy.
So what's the story on the plates?
It really did serve as a distraction as I had plenty of work to get done around here.
Now that's a life lesson I applaud. The inside of the van is clean, now I just need my kids to screw up so they can clean the outside.
Don't expect fantastic results. I'm just saying--I've got spots!
That's excellent! A little more practice and they could start a business washing cars.
They'd never make it. Unless, of course, our national currency happens to convert to the popcicle.
AWESOME! Child labor is like the best thing ever!
There aren't any laws against this sort of thing, are there? I did compensate them with popcicles.
That note is hilarious! Wait til the next time Joey needs to redeem himself. My truck hasn't been washed since January. LOL!
Yeah--now I've got to get them to do the inside. I'm just waiting for them to mess up again.
That is AWESOME! What a cute group of kids!
Cute is the only reason they are still around. Otherwise, I'd have given them away long ago!
Cute as cute can be - child labour is good though, we used to send children up chimneys for cleaning purposes some time ago - I have chimneys that need cleaning but my children are too big, I am willing to trade though, how many of yours can I have for a 19 year old who sleeps all day and parties all night ?
Hmm, very enticing. Does she do laundry? Vaccuum? What about dishes?
